Submission of Ro Plastic Prize 2022 (Finalist)



TOW is a mobile lifestyle application that seeks to promote proper recycling waste disposal with accessible participation and educate the value of re-waste amusingly, starting with how to effectively deliver the value of waste recycling and its educational content to the target. The aimed target was the generation Alpha &#38;amp; Z youth who pursue digital socialising with a sense of global environmental issues but lack information on proper recycling. This project looked at what differentiated functions social media can offer in this regard.The idea of a gamification and reward system was designed to enable the target group to practice the topic and activities continuously, and similar existing services and applications were investigated as case studies. The project considered individual participation as regional activities but kept social media space to allow users to communicate globally through information and activity sharing and induce educational interaction. The token system was designed to encourage users to receive tokens by participating in activities. Users can spend them communicating with other users to experience active social interactions with understanding the value of waste and re-waste.If TOW is commercialised, it could begin to exert significant influence on complex waste-related issues through the rise of awareness and appropriate participation of the younger generation worldwide about the value of recycled waste. Moreover, it is expected that social interaction using tokens on the app will provide them with active empathy for environmental issues.

Neo-Wellbeing is an interdisciplinary group project proposed for Grand Challenge: Design for Safety. It had been presented as a website simulating a speculative dystopian narrative to offer the audience a glimpse of a possible future where workers have accepted wearable technological implants measuring working efficiency. Neo-Wellbeing focused on the negative side effects of digital interactions that increasing the risk of developing mental health disorders. The purpose of the project was to propose an unsafe future on the current horizon to prevent any potential future misuse of technology and design for a safer future.


The work was posted on RCA Research Biennale after the project ended.

In the emergency room, a large number of healthcare workers are busy for 24 hours, day and night. Since they don't know when and what will happen, a place where they have to be nervous every minute. When they try to get their breath together for a while, an urgent patient comes in again. Every minute and every second of time is valuable here. However, no matter how urgent the situation may be, hygiene procedures can never be omitted. Furthermore, the mask must be meticulously bound and entered into the operating room, not with the earloop dental mask.

Fast-Act Surgical Mask replaced by a buckle form with an existing surgical mask that must be worn by straps. This mask will provide healthcare workers with a faster and more comfortable medical environment, with reducing time to tying it before surgery.

From investigation to prototyping, this work proceeded as an individual project.

Group project of Capstone Design New Media course 2018

Gut U is a mobile application design service for people to be aware of their gut health. The target group is 19 - 29 years oldyoung adults with a substantial proportion of people who live alone and eat out often, and they have an unhealthy lifestyle with poor diet stress. Plus, it is emerging as a social problem.



Based on analysing and connecting with hospitals, Gut U aims to improve the health of the target group. Recording theirdaily bowel movement will help them to understand their gut health. Analysing these data allow users can know if they need any further action. Besides, Gut U will inquire about medical information and connect with the hospital. Thisconnection will enable users to be prescribed professionally rather than find their problems with gut health.

Submission of iF design TALENT AWARD 2018



The ocean is one of the key transport hubs of humankind. However, countless people have been dead and missing continually. Moreover, there is no adequate measure to ensure maritime safety in the context of refugees and deaths soaring in recent years. 

Maritime Lifesaver Drones could further guarantee ocean safety. These drones usually float like buoys all overthe ocean. Then if an emergency occurs, the closest drone moves to the corresponding area. With desalination membrane technology, the drone can provide drinking water. Besides, rescue teams can easily find them with GPS in the drone. If these drones are put into practical use, they will rescue many lives in the future and will open a new maritime safety period.

Group project of Design Studio course 2017

Starfield, Goyang is one of the largest complex shopping malls in South Korea. This place is open to a wide range of users, from kids to the elderly. Besides, there are numerous clothing stores. However, the fitting rooms offered seemed to have several
problems.

The fitting rooms at Starfield did not provide enough lights for people to try on their clothes. Most of all, the fitting rooms' size was very narrow and inconvenient space to the disabled such as wheelchair users.
The virtual fitting room offers a suitable environment, especially AR and widened space. Since people don't have to change their clothes, there's nothing uncomfortable about it. This fitting room will secure more customers at Starfield through universal and practical improvements.
